At Jeeves of Belgravia, our dry cleaning teams are ready for the spring. After a long winter, we’re looking forward to seeing which new looks and fashions come through our doors.
We’ve selected some of spring’s key styles to give you inspiration for new pieces.
According to the runways and fashion press, here are some top trends for men to step out in this season. See our summary of women’s trends here.
Cross-Body Bags
Space is important for transporting the accessories our busy lives demand. Bags allow us to do just this. So, we were glad to see the classic cross-body bag make an appearance in men’s collections this spring.
Some of our top choices for tapping into this trend include Gucci’s supreme square black messenger. Made from the label’s iconic canvas, its blue and red strap adds colour. The zipper pockets offer sturdiness and security.
The saffiano leather briefcase from Prada can accommodate a laptop and accessories. Its uncomplicated design and high-quality leather finish adds a touch of Italian luxury.
Louis Vuitton’s black and silver-coloured Discovery Messenger BB can be dressed up or down for work or play.
Made of cowhide leather and coming in a compact size, it’s the perfect accessory for safely storing your small essentials.
Oversized Blazers
With a glance to the 80s, it seems that oversized blazers have been brought back to the catwalk.
The Balenciaga checked double-breasted jacket could be a gateway into the look. Its ‘straight and boxy’ shape and large lapel are very on-trend for spring.
JW Anderson played with played with a combination of looks with this jacket and removable satin lapel.
If you need something more informal, Balmain’s black and white striped cotton blazer mixes casual with cool.
Casual Shirts
Catwalks for spring 2020 were awash with both casual and bold-print shirts for men.
Dolce & Gabbana came through with their collection of vibrant shirts. The label’s silk Hawaii shirt with Julius Caesar print is eye-catching but versatile enough to match with plain shades.
Valentino designs follow in the same vein. Their spring collection of men’s shirts features images from nature and Eastern culture. The blind owl short sleeved shirt got our attention with its dramatically contrasting warm/cool palette.
If you want to go with the casual shirt trend but opt for more subtle colouring, there are plenty of options. The boxy striped or printed poplin shirts from Prada have that fresh spring look and can be matched with jeans or casual trousers for evenings and weekends. That’s all from us at Jeeves of Belgravia on men’s 2020 spring fashion. With so much to be inspired by, we hope this keeps your wardrobe happy until summertime.
